Between 11-23 June, a group of 14 students accompanied by three teachers had an enjoyable summer school in Istanbul & Bursa. Students who took Turkish lessons in the mornings had great opportunities to review and improve their proficiency in Turkish. They could also practice Turkish since they used the language in shopping, outdoor activities, excursions, etc.
After Turkish lessons, students had exciting days full of excursions. And for the evenings, they were glad to have nice dinners in Turkish families.
During summer trip, children were amazed to see the historical beauties of dream city Istanbul-such as:
-Topkapi Palace
-Dolmabahce Palace
-Hagia Sophia
-Blue Mosque
-Basilica Cistern
-Miniaturk
-Ortakoy
-Cevahir Shopping Center (the biggest in Europe)
-Arasta, Grand and Spice Bazaar
-Yacht tour
-Maiden Tower
-Museums
-Camlica and Pierre Loti Hills
- Aqua park and fun fair etc.
In hot summer days they also had a chance to get cool and enjoy in the biggest aqua park of Istanbul.
Students also admired the natural beauties of green city Bursa;
-Mount Ulu, Cable Car
-Picnic on the edges of Mount Ulu
-Ulu Mosque
-700 years old historical village
-Car Museum
-Hunkar Palace
-Turkish Bath
-a 604 years old tree (the biggest tree in Turkey)
-Zoopark
-Tophane etc.
During this summer school, students felt themselves as if they were at home and left Turkey with lots of unforgettable memories.
