Meridian International School

We congratulate both football players and the coaches of our school’s combined team with the 2nd prize gained on the International Football Tournament which was organized and conducted by The Kyiv International School under the aegis of the Association of European schools early in October.

The contestants of this year’s tournament were teams of junior football players from Bulgaria, Croatia, Latvia and four Kyiv schools: Pechersk International School, Christian Academy, Kyiv International School and “Meridian” International School.

When winter comes we all expect our dreams and wishes to become true. And to feel this magic and to become its part a group of students and teachers of Meridian International school set off for boarding school in Mostyshche, Kyiv region. About 90 students who live and study there were waiting for us. We were prepared well for this visit, since December was a month of mercy and care in our school and all students and their parents took an active part in gathering presents for these children. 

The teacher’s day which is celebrated traditionally in Meridian International School every year was celebrated in September. Except for the students who prepared very interesting shows and performances for their teachers, in this Teacher’s Day celebration our teachers also took place actively. Our teachers sang songs in English, Ukrainian and Turkish. However, the most impressive part should be the Ukrainian folklore dance which was performed by the teachers.

First bell, we heard this pretty sound again in this year for the first time. As a tradition first graders and future graduates of this year rang the bell together at the end of the ceremony but before that, all our students, parents and guest enjoyed themselves seeing different kinds of dances and shows performed by our students. The most enjoyable of all ceremony for our little newcomers was the moment when two bunches of balloons was released up to the sky as a symbol of this year’s graduation.
